Responding: Hurricane Melissa
On 28 October, Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica with catastrophic force. In the early morning of 29 October, it reached Cuba and Hispaniola.
Team Rubicon has deployed a 14-person medical Greyshirt volunteer team of doctors, nurses, paramedics, and highly trained support staff to Jamaica. This team is providing acute care to those who need it most, in coordination with the Jamaican Ministry of Health and the Pan-American Health Organization. Additional Greyshirt volunteers are deploying to perform core operations, including route clearance and sawyer work, alongside Jamaica's National Works Agency.
