Beginning 10 August, a wall of high-end, straight-line winds and rain tore across the Upper Midwest and into the Great Lakes. Trees came down across entire counties, power lines snapped, and flooded roads disappeared under debris.  

The danger hasn't passed. A new severe storm system is already forming and expected to hit early this week, with severe weather expected as far east as West Virginia.
